The faculty member is responsible for ensuring the academic and personal development of the students through didactic and clinical instruction. Working in the classroom and practice setting, the faculty member prepares and mentors future students. Faculty members are responsible for ensuring that the curriculum is up-to-date, that effective delivery methods are employed, and that all students are treated in a fair and equitable manner.

Position: Faculty

Essential Functions:
  • Assisting in the development of curricula and lessons
  • Preparing and utilizing approved lesson plans and examinations
  • Writing, evaluating, and implementing assessments
  • Preparing student progress reports and grade reports
  • Evaluating student competence-based course and/or clinical objectives
  • Implementing evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency
  • Creating a classroom/clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development
  • Participating in academic advising and guidance of students
  • Providing tutoring (group and private)
  • Attending faculty meetings
  • Participating in committees and school events
  • Preform all other work-related duties

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MSN required
  • Current State or Multistate RN license required
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required
