CVSD School Nurse (up to 1.0 FTE; full and substitute positions available)The Champlain Valley School District is seeking multiple School Nurses to work across our CVSD Schools (Charlotte Central School, Hinesburg Community School, Shelburne Community School, Williston Schools and the Champlain Valley School District). Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications: a current, valid Vermont RN license, CPR & First Aid certifications, and several years of clinical experience that includes pediatric and community/family centered nursing. Areas of student health care responsibilities include: assessment first aid health screening medication administration assist in communicable disease control immunization assessment assessment and care of students with special needs. Additional areas of responsibilities include: compilation of statistical information maintenance of health and medication records/logs accident reporting member of student support teams updating student health emergency information preparation of required state reports providing staff and parents with information of school health policies, and other pertinent health resource information providing interpretation of health information to staff and parents promoting a healthy school environment.
