*Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities*

* Provide oversight and implementation of policies related to admission of students into the Teacher Education program
* Coordinate recruitment and retention activities and provide leadership for enrollment planning
* Monitor teacher education policies, programs and requirements
* Provide assistance with local, state and national data reporting
* Serve as CAEP coordinator
* Provide leadership in monitoring compliance with accreditation standards
* Facilitate faculty research and development of grant proposals for funding
* Coordinate professional development activities within the School
* Review assessment data and recommend policy changes based on analysis of survey result
* Provide oversight in the updating of handbooks and catalogs
* Complete and submit certification applications to Alabama State Department of Education
* Provide updates and maintain certification forms and inform faculty and students of changes in certification requirements
* Monitor students' progress through the teacher education program
* Maintain teaching responsibilities in appropriate education content area
*Qualifications*

* A Ph.D or Ed.D in one of the disciplines represented in the School of Education
*Salary*
