The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a vital and growing research and teaching section in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Based at the Anschutz Medical and Research Campus, the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry benefits from affiliation with world class interdisciplinary professional education, research programs and clinical services. Please note, this is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below. *Examples of Work Performed* The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Reporting to the Pediatric Mental Health Institute's Medical Director, the Division Medical Director is responsible for and collaborates with other leaders in clinical care, clinic operations, and Quality and Regulatory efforts, to optimize our mental health system by striving to improve our performance on the quadruple aim. The Medical Director is also responsible for supporting training and research within the Institute and Division. The Division Medical Director is responsible for the Associate Medical Directors, Division Psychiatrists, Division APPs.Clinical Administrative Responsibilities
* Works collaboratively with the Patient care service director Program Manager, Division Clinical Director, Associate Clinical Managers, and Associate Medical and Clinical Directors to guide clinical operations within the Division.
* Responsible for setting and maintaining clinical and productivity standards for psychiatric/APP practice within the Division.
* Authority to resolve disagreements regarding clinical practice
Working with the PMHI Medical Director, responsible for monitoring the practice of psychiatrists and APPs within the Division in regard to Hospital Medical Staff Office, University and CU Medicine, and regulatory (e.g. ongoing trainings, meeting OPPE standards) requirementsQuality and Regulatory Responsibilities
* Supports the Intensive Division's Nursing Manager, Ambulatory, or Consultation Division Program Manager, as appropriate for their Division, in cross-disciplinary quality improvement activities within the Division.
* Responsible for guiding quality improvement activities specific to clinical practice.
* Responsibility for guiding quality improvement activities specific to the clinical teams and relate quality indicators, such as follow-up with community providers.
As assigned and directed by the Service Line Medical Director and PMHI Director of Clinical Operations, works to address family and patient concerns.Other Responsibilities/All Faculty Requirements
* Responsible for working with Operational and Business leadership of the Institute and Division to meet fiscal responsibilities and goals and to move strategic initiatives forward.
* All faculty are expected to support the fiscal and operational goals of their Divisions and PMHI as a whole. Faculty members may be asked to support and provide assistance, as needed to set and measure outcomes of goals within their Division in collaboration with the business leaders.
* Works collaboratively with other Division leadership, Training Directors, and in their efforts to provide high-quality clinical training opportunities on clinical services within the Division, with primary responsibility for psychiatry and APP training.
* Supports the conduct of high-quality research within the Division.
* All faculty are asked to support the design, assessment, and implementation of innovative clinical services within their Divisions and PMHI as a whole.
* Contributes the Department's teaching and scholarship in ways consistent with the expectations of senior University faculty, advancing the standing of the Department.
* Maintains eligibility for SOM faculty appointment.
* Provides career development mentorship to junior and senior faculty.

* *Senior Instructor: *The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $200,000 to $215,000.
* *Assistant Professor: *The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $200,000 to $215,000.
* *Associate Professor: *The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $220,000 to $245,000.
* *Professor: *The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $250,000 to $300,000.

Qualifications
*Minimum Qualifications*
Applicants must possess a Colorado Medical License, DEA Certificate, Board Certified in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry. *Senior Instructor: *1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications:* MD and/or DO* *Assistant Professor:* 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications:* MD and/or DO* *Associate Professor*: 4-7 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications:* MD and/or DO* *Professor*: 7+ years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. * Minimum of three years, five years preferred, of experience in clinical administration in a child and adolescent psychiatric setting.
Eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor level (eligibility for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level preferred).*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*:
