The Rosen College of Hospitality Management (RCHM) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) seeks qualified faculty to join the Department of Tourism, Events and Attractions. Multiple 9-month, tenure-earning assistant professor, and tenured associate professor or professor positions are being filled. Rank and salary will be commensurate with the credentials, background, and experience of the candidate.

The selected candidates will develop and instruct various courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in the Bachelor of Science in Event Management and/or Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Management degree programs, and Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management and/or Master of Science in Event Leadership (awaiting approval) programs. All aspects of event or entertainment management are to be considered although particular expertise in one or more of the following is desirable: digital marketing and social media; event and entertainment technologies; risk management; revenue management; entrepreneurship; leadership; sporting events; and virtual events and entertainment. Incumbents will participate in university, college and department committees; maintain liaisons with appropriate professional groups and industry partners; establish a strong research program and actively publish in appropriate journals.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Hospitality Management or a related field from an accredited institution by the time of appointment.

In order to obtain tenure, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with rank.

Preferences:

A demonstrated record of research resulting in publications in highly rated journals. A record of teaching and service that is current and consistent with UCF standards and aspirations.
