DESCRIPTION
Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through:

  • Preparing course plans and materials
  • Delivering courses
  • Monitoring progress/attendance
  • Advising students
  • Recording grades and submitting reports


Job Requirements:
Culinary Arts Instructor must have an Associate's Degree (although a Bachelor's Degree is preferred) with a concentration in Hospitality, or a related field. Must also have 5 years of work experience in the field and have a ServeSafe Manager certification, with Instructor/Proctor status required after six months of employment. Must also have A.C.F. certification at a minimum of C.S.C., or the ability to certify within six months.
  • This position will deliver competency-based culinary training through lectures and labs that align with program objectives.
  • Work with faculty and the Program Director to develop, update, and assess coursework and materials as part of the program's continuous quality improvement effort.
  • Track student retention and provide student support through career coaching and Academic assistance as required.
  • Identify and refer at risk students to the Dean for Academic advising.
  • Participate in a variety of on and off campus functions promoting the Culinary program.
This is a full time position that requires evening availability.
