Job DescriptionOverview
The Arcadia University Department of Physical Therapy is currently recruiting for 2 full time, 12-month tenure track faculty positions associated with our expanding program.

The department offers an entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in both residential and hybrid formats, a dual degree with public health (DPT/MPH), post-professional DPT programs, an Orthopaedic Residency, and a newly approved PhD Program in Movement Science. We are ranked among the top physical therapy programs in the country. We are seeking candidates with content and practice expertise in community health, musculoskeletal disorders, or neurorehabilitation. Capable, effective teaching in areas of content expertise is expected and occurs within a highly integrated curriculum delivered both on site and in an online hybrid format. Preference given to candidates with a well-conceived research agenda judged to be synergistic with current faculty interests and potential for securing extramural funding. Research in the department is funded by NIA, NIAMS, NCMMR, and various foundations. The faculty is committed to working in a collegial environment that values scholarship and professional service. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. The curriculum is highly integrative with specific content presented in 3-week course modules organized around a case example or focus area. The curriculum is designed to move from simple to complex and to allow for repetition of concepts with increasing depth of knowledge. Thus, teaching responsibilities will be tailored to the clinical expertise of the candidate and the needs of the curriculum. Successful candidates will be expected to be involved in ongoing curriculum implementation and evaluation; serve on University-wide committees; advise students; and maintain an active research agenda.
