Responsibilities:
  • Acts as a Labcorp ambassador, raising our profile significantly with relevant industry audiences, as the leader in its field in order to position it effectively for commercial success and also for potential corporate development activities.
  • Actively participates in business development and seeks out new business opportunities.
  • Develops a solid understanding of the customer base in order to build relationships with key leaders at large customer organizations and other key stakeholders.
  • Communicates a clear understanding the business and market environment in order to take the lead in key growth opportunities and discussions with C-Suite, Medical and Scientific teams both internally and externally
  • Works with Commercial and Laboratory leadership team to identify and assess additional opportunities for growth, including the negotiation of potential strategic alliances and acquisitions.
  • Fulfills the responsibilities of Clinical Consultant as defined by CLIA, with respect to one or more type of testing
  • Coordinates efforts between clinical staff and sales and marketing team

Requirements
  • Strong Academic and research/publication credentials and a record of accomplishments
  • Prior management experience in oversight of clinical and pathology operations and related supply chain optimization strategies
  • Robust commercial skill and commercial laboratory business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with health system C -Suite, Medical and Scientific teams, as well as internal and external Laboratory leadership and staff
  • Adept presenter of business and medical/scientific/quality material
  • Demonstrated history of cross-functional leadership and/or participation in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to self-organize and operate effectively without day-to-day oversight while staying tightly connected to key leaders and teams across the collaborations
  • Certified in clinical pathology
  • Familiarity with digital pathology applications
  • Familiarity with academic Diagnostic discovery commercialization processes
  • Familiarity with clinical trial acceptance/navigation process research institutions within health systems
  • Must be willing to travel as needed, mostly Eastern US seaboard
  • MD required and MBA preferred
