*Job Summary: *Under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee, The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the Ph.D. or other doctoral degree.
*Additional Department Summary: *We are looking for an active, self-motivated researcher with a background in experimental nuclear or particle physics. Experience with detectors based on liquefied noble gases/Liquid scintillator, and data analysis using Python and ROOT are preferred. The successful candidate will lead the Outer Detector (OD) operation, and data analysis of the LZ dark matter experiment. In addition, the successful candidate will lead the R&D project on developing the new type of veto system for generation 3 dark matter and neutrino experiments, collaborating with Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). Travel to the research site is expected to assist the operation of the LZ detector (Sanford Underground Research Facilities) and performing measurements in Brookhaven National Laboratory.

The appointment is initially for one year with the possibility of renewal (upon successful performance) for up to three years depends on the funding availability. *Required Department Minimum Qualifications:* Ph.D. in Physics or a related field.

*Skills and Knowledge: *Training in experimental particle physics, ROOT/Python/GEANT 4 (coding).
*Preferred Qualifications: *Experience in direct dark matter detection with liquid noble gas or experience in data analysis/R&D of liquid scintillator.
