Job DescriptionThe Department of Management and Technology in the College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide (ERAU-W) welcomes applications for an innovative, collaborative, and energetic 10-month Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management: HR Analytics/ HR Information Systems.
*Job Duties:* Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in human resources. Applied knowledge in HR- information systems/ HR- analytics, through education and industry experience is required. Instructors should have experience with innovative academic technologies and delivery platforms, including traditional classroom, hybrid, online, and interactive teleconferences. Academic courses include foundational, organizational, and applied human resource management. Faculty must be able to bring their research into the classroom and have a strong scholarly research agenda. The faculty member will also develop and maintain courses and update curricula as needed to maintain a rich, relevant, and rigorous learning environment. Other areas of responsibility include participating in scholarly activities, dissemination of scholarship to diverse populations and industry, and service to the Department of Management and Technology, College of Business, and University. Faculty must be willing to travel to attend meetings and conferences. Faculty will work remotely and maintain a home office.
Qualifications*Minimum requirements:* A doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in Human Resource Management, or a field related to HR is required as well as industry experience in some or all of the aforementioned focal areas. The candidate should show excellence in teaching and demonstrate a strong research record and pipeline that includes working papers or papers under review. Content creation is important to online learning and research dissemination. Candidates must have a level of creativity and desire to engage with technology to create forward-facing academic content such as podcasts, course videos, video feedback, webinars, etc.
*Preferred requirements:* External certification in human resources is preferred (i.e. SHRM, SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.). Experience teaching online courses, participation in university committees or related community organizations, participation in state/national professional or academic organizations, including industry experience. Strong candidates will have accepted/published research; excellent teaching evaluations in discipline, and industry experience. Excellent candidates will be able to leverage networks and interact with industry (aviation and non-aviation). Candidates should be willing to collaborate and have experience in multi-discipline scholarly endeavors.
