We are building a community of scientists and engineers focused on ground-breaking research at the intersection of the biological sciences and bioengineering. Areas of interest include stem cell biology and organoids, tissues and organs on a chip, biomaterials, tissue engineering, diagnostics and drug delivery, immunoengineering, multiscale and multimodal optical imaging, biomechanics, and platform development for translational medicine. We seek creative, highly motivated individuals who will thrive in our interdisciplinary research environment and who will build new research collaborations across disciplines.
The BioFrontiers Institute integrates faculty from 10 departments to address significant problems in biology and medicine at the interface of the biological sciences with computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and engineering. Each new faculty member will develop an independent, internationally recognized research program that is synergistic with other programs of the University of Colorado community.

Further, we seek someone committed to excellence in interdisciplinary education and mentoring. Responsibilities will be split between research, teaching, and service to the Institute, Department, University, and profession.What You Should KnowWe expect to hire a faculty member at the assistant professor rank for a tenure-track position in regenerative biology and engineering, broadly defined. We may consider exceptional candidates at the associate or full professor rank. Candidates will have a tenure home in either the College of Engineering and Applied Science or the College of Arts and Sciences.
