(Level A) $71,401 to $96,007 per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation may apply

Full-time, fixed term position available immediately for 12 months

The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI), situated within the School of Public Health, is an international research organisation that develops and delivers unique evidence-based information, software, education and training designed to improve healthcare practice and health outcomes. JBI has a mission focused, positive workplace culture that supports and develops staff skills and knowledge in evidence-based healthcare.

The successful candidate will lead the update of teaching materials and delivery of JBI short course training programs and workshops on the conduct of systematic reviews and other types of evidence synthesis (both face to face and online). This position will also contribute to methodology programs and will involve methodological developmental work and contribution to the development of tools and software to assist in the conduct of systematic reviews. This role includes assessment of course participants and may include supervision of some higher degree research students. The successful applicant will join and help support the JBI international trainers' network and some national and international travel may be required.

To be successful you will need:
  • Completion of at least four (4) years of tertiary study in the relevant discipline of have equivalent qualifications or professional experience.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the conduct of lectures, demonstrations and workshops (face to face and online).
  • Demonstrated interest of research in evidence synthesis methodology, research methods and experience in conducting systematic reviews.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in teaching evidence-based healthcare, systematic reviews and/or research methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively consult, mentor or supervise students.
