* Successful candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level, establish and sustain an outstanding research program and be involved in proposal and grant writing activities.
* Preferred candidates for the position must hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science. Desired areas of interest are artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile applications development.
* Faculty members should expect to be involved in department activities, student advisement, student recruitment, and mentoring students.
*Education and Experience:*
* Applicants should have a PhD in computer science. Preference will be given to applicants with areas of specialization that complement existing faculty.
* Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching at a liberal arts school. Evidence of successful teaching at the college level is required.
* A record of research and publication is desirable.
* The candidate must be prepared to affirm and support the Christian and liberal arts mission of Bethune- Cookman University.
* U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
