The College of Arts and Letters at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Literature. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Literature or related field with an active interdisciplinary research agenda and university-level teaching experience.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to interdisciplinary approaches to literature at the intersection of other humanistic disciplines and/or STEM fields. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to the study of transnational or minoritarian literatures. Possible areas of research interest include but are not limited to the following: Science Fiction (with an emphasis on African or Hispanic Diasporas, the Global South, Queer Theory, or Borderlands), Techno-cultural Studies, Afrofuturism, Environmental Humanities / Anthropocene Fictions, Film / Media Theory, Health Humanities, Evocriticism, or Literature in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
