Duties & Responsibilities:

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the development and growth of an exemplary program of clinical and/or laboratory-based research in the area of immunology and provision of didactic instruction in required and elective PharmD, undergraduate and graduate courses. The faculty member will also serve on College and University committees.

We are looking for an applied scholar and educator with research skills that may include clinical trials, implementation science, laboratory sciences, outcomes, or pharmacoeconomics. Rhode Island is an Institutional Development Award (IDeA) State, with the IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) and Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE), and Advance Clinical and Translational Research (CTR) to stimulate research. As a result, there are robust research programs in the state that are focused on early career faculty development. It is anticipated that the incoming faculty member will work within one of these programs for mentorship, collaboration and sponsorship. Start-up funds are provided.

Qualifications
Required:


1. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at time of application.

2. Postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent research experience in specialty area of immunology.

3. Record of scholarly achievement through publications, presentations and/or funding.

4. Demonstrated teaching experience in specialty area of immunology.

5. Demonstrated clinical experience in specialty area of immunology.

6. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication skills.

7. Licensed or eligible for pharmacy licensure in the state of Rhode Island.
8. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.

Preferred:

1. Well-conceived research plan with potential to attract external funding.

2. Specialty of non-cancer-based immunology.
