*Description of Work:*The University of Nebraska College of Law invites applications for the position of Reference Librarian/Assistant Professor at the Schmid Law Library.
The Reference Librarian is part of a team who support student learning and faculty scholarship and otherwise contribute to the mission of the College of Law. All library faculty work closely with individual law and clinical faculty members and interact with law students, undergraduate and graduate students, and members of the public.

Members of the law library faculty are expected to engage in scholarship; participate in the first-year research course and additional instructional and outreach activities; provide reference assistance to students and other visitors; and contribute to the many activities undertaken at the College of Law. Over time and as interests and needs are assessed, librarians take responsibility for specific aspects of library services. We encourage initiative and innovation among library faculty and staff; we encourage independence in developing projects; and we expect professionals to contribute to the mission of the College of Law and the law library on a variety of levels. The Law Library is committed to being inclusive and open and to supporting the success of all students.
