The role will be responsible for implementing a variety of in vivo and in vitro model systems to build an in-depth understanding and biological dataset surrounding the modulation of the tumor microenvironment by Arcus drug candidates. Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in the validation of potential new targets prior to the initiation of drug discovery efforts, as well as establishing pharmacological readouts for pipeline candidates. This role will contribute both intellectually and experimentally as part of a multidisciplinary team, presenting data at both internal and external research meetings.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in immunology, immuno-oncology, pharmacology, or a closely related field and have completed relevant post-doctoral and/or industry research. The ideal candidate(s) will have practical experience using in vivo models, isolation and culture of primary cells (mouse and human), immune-based in vitro assays, flow cytometry, and common molecular techniques. Candidates with demonstrated ability to advance scientific projects or derive novel scientific insights are of high interest. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required along with a solutions-based approach, flexibility, the ability to focus and deliver on time-sensitive objectives.
