Unit Paid Faculty teach additional courses on an as needed basisThe University of Virginia's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) seeks applicants to fill a tenure-ineligible part-time, limited term instructor position for the online Public Administration Graduate Certificate Program. Courses are 10 weeks in length and are offered in synchronous and asynchronous formats.

SCPS employs academic faculty who have applicable content expertise at the appropriate level and who provide evidence of recent and/or current professional experience which applies to students' achieving the goals and learning outcomes of the program. *The specific subject area for instruction is Public Budgeting and Financial Management. *Employment will begin Spring 2022.

Qualifications: This position is for graduate-level instruction. A Ph.D. or terminal degree in the teaching area or closely related field is preferred; a master's degree in the teaching area or closely related field may be considered; relevant expertise is required. Two to four years relevant subject matter teaching experience is preferred. Extensive industry experiences and familiarity with online instruction are highly desirable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
