Hiring Rate: $14.92/hour

Tuesday evenings, 3 hours per week (5:00pm - 8:00pm)

Performs duties to teach ice skating skills to youth at the Roosevelt Ice Pavilion.
Principal Duties:
Teach youth how to ice skate, using safe, fun, teaching methods. Must have the ability to break down ice skating skills for comprehension, and enjoy working with youth. Performs essential duties and additional tasks in a manner which enhances City Attributes.
Working Environment:
Work is performed in an ice rink environment. Requires the ability to move around the ice rink and surrounding areas. Work requires standing, walking, bending/stooping, reaching, pushing/pulling, twisting, kneeling, and squatting. Requires skill in working with a group and communicating effectively with youth participants and the public. Tolerance to cold conditions.
Previous experience teaching ice skating preferred. Must be 15 years or older. Special Qualifications: Certified Learn to Skate USA Instructor certification required.
