POSITION SUMMARY

The Tracy Laboratory at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team investigating the molecular events that lead to synapse dysfunction and cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia. This position involves using transgenic mouse models of disease and human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived neurons to dissect the mechanisms that trigger synapse and neuronal dysfunction during disease pathogenesis.

QUALIFICATIONS

* PhD in Neuroscience or related field
* Published research in peer-reviewed journals
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a vibrant scientific environment
* Candidates with expertise in genomic engineering and iPSC technology, electrophysiology, proteomics, and neurodegeneration research are encouraged to apply
