Outstanding Investigator in Cancer Biology at UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center - 2021

The David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA, in collaboration with the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer (JCCC), is seeking to recruit an outstanding investigator in the broad area of cancer biology to a tenure-track/tenured position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level.

The JCCC is a matrix NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center that draws members from a broad range of departments in the health sciences schools including the DGSOM, the Schools of Public Health, Nursing, Dentistry as well as numerous departments in the basic sciences, life sciences, and other parts of the University. There are unique opportunities for collaborative basic, translational, clinical, and population science research.

The JCCC and DGSOM partnership fosters a highly collaborative research community that promotes innovative and cutting-edge research.

We are seeking an independent and collaborative scientist with a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree. Expertise in a broad range of cancer-focused areas is welcome, including but not limited to: cancer genetics, epigenetics, computational and bioengineering approaches, metabolism, signaling, tumor evolution, heterogeneity, immunotherapy, metastasis, and tumor microenvironment.

Candidates must have a proven track record of scientific discovery in basic and/or translational cancer research. The primary DGSOM department in which the candidate's faculty appointment will reside will be determined based on a mutually agreed upon assessment of the most appropriate department based on the selected candidate's research focus.

* A strong peer-reviewed publication record.

* A collaborative style that fosters and supports teamwork and innovation.
