JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
We are seeking motivated and talented engineers to join our Algorithms & Analysis team at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. These positions will research, design, develop, integrate, and test cutting edge radio frequency (RF) and acoustic communication systems to include 5G/6G.
These jobs will be filled as a Level 2 or 3. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a Level 2. Additional experience/education required for higher level positions.
Additional duties of a level 3 include:
* Manage Signal Processing projects of small or moderate size and scope
* Mentor and train employees in the development of technical, project, and business development skills
* Assemble team members to work on Signal Processing research areas
Required experience of this position include:
* Signal processing, radio frequency design, acoustics, physics, or applied mathematics
* One or more of the following: Matlab, Python, Java, C, or C++
Software development experience is highly desired.
