Additive Manufacturing Engineer

WE Are

Searching for a researcher who has initiative and is naturally curious in the areas of programming and data analytics to join our group of more than a dozen scientists, engineers, and staff in our Center for Innovative Material Processing through Direct Digital Deposition (CIMP-3D) team.

What YOU Will Do

Depending upon your level of experience, you can function as lead or assist in the proposal and projects process of metal and ceramic additive manufacturing. As you grow in your role, you will have the opportunity to present at conferences and to sponsors, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and obtain funding for your projects. You can function in this role as a Research and Development Engineer or, if you hold a PhD and prefer the non-tenure faculty track, as a Research Faculty member.

What YOU Need to be Successful
  • Demonstrated experience and interest in:
    • Labview, Python, and/or Matlab
    • Data analytics (machine learning/AI)
    • H/W, S/W systems integration
    • Robotics

You will be subject to a government security investigation, and you must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
