Statewide Senior Lecturer for Aeronautical Technology

Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, is accepting applications for one instructor position at the rank of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer beginning in fall 2022. This appointment is in the School of Aviation & Transportation Technology, the Purdue Polytechnic InstituteStatewide.

Essential job duties include the following: (1) Develop and teach undergraduate courses in aeronautical technology and related areas at one of the Statewide locations; (2) serve on curriculum committees; (3) perform customary faculty assignments and student mentoring; and (4) demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and transformational education. The ideal candidate should have a record of academic teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring. Once selected, all candidates must demonstrate plans for success with teaching and engagement with community and industry.

Requirements
A bachelors degree in aviation or other closely related field is required. Applicants must possess or be qualified to obtain FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate to perform assigned duties in the Aeronautical Engineering Technology program by December 31, 2022.
