Job-Specific Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, Custom Programs, this position coordinates the key aspects of new client and new program development processes and related documentation and communication activities. The Assistant Director will effectively operate in a cross-functional environment and cultivate collaborative relationships with Portfolio Directors, Client Directors and faculty to proactively shape and realize new business opportunities, and will do the same for Enterprise Solutions (including counterpart roles at HBS Online and Harvard Business School Publishing Corporate Learning).

Specific Duties:
• Participate in lead qualification calls and client meetings
• Regularly lead meetings with C-Level and senior executives of large global organizations to scope, shape, and sell new business
• Manage client follow up including client communications and updates to internal stakeholders as needed
• Under guidance and supervision from the Director-Business Development, shape opportunities and develop proposals
• Develop a deep understanding of the solutions from Executive Education (ExEd), HBS Online learning, and Harvard Business Publishing, and how they can be integrated into client solutions.
• Maintain records of client interactions and meeting notes in Salesforce
• Contribute to process and business improvement projects by observing and evaluating existing processes, anticipating and supporting client and faculty needs, and continuously seeking to ensure efficiency
• In support of the Managing Director-Custom Programs and the Senior Vice President, Corporate Learning, (for Enterprise Learning Solutions), manage scorecard, pipeline and other metrics/reporting including the:
o Process to track and measure lead pipeline, phases of programs in development through delivery, and metrics to measure volume and quality o Analyze and create reports to support business decisions • Role will evolve as the line of business grows and is responsible for other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS degree is required
• 5+ years of direct experience in a consulting or business role, higher education administration, or similar experience is required
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly PowerPoint and Excel) are required
• Knowledge of Salesforce a bonus, but not required

Additional Information

This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus 2-4 days per week. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.
