Professor of Practice in Arts Management and Nonprofit Leadership

The Division of Corporate Communication and Public Affairs (CCPA) seeks candidates for a professor of practice to teach in the Division's current graduate programs - MAMBA (MA in Arts Management plus MBA) and MMIAM (MM in International Arts Management) - and undergraduate programs in Arts Management, Arts Entrepreneurship, and Social Innovation/Nonprofit Engagement beginning August 1, 2022.

Minimum qualifications: MBA; at least 7 years of experience in arts and nonprofit management; expertise to teach courses in arts/nonprofit marketing, fundraising, strategic planning, finance/budgeting, and other courses relevant to arts management, nonprofit operations, and creative, social, and/or arts entrepreneurship; experience teaching and/or working with college students and adult learners in a professional or academic setting; established connections in the DFW arts/nonprofit community, and a desire to contribute to the Division's national reputation. Candidates with a Ph.D. are encouraged to apply.

Additional expertise desirable in: Creative startup/entrepreneurial/social innovation/nonprofit ventures, digital communication, data analytics, experience working with executive education programs, and/or university teaching experience.

Workload: The selected candidate will teach three courses each fall and spring semester across undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, the candidate will develop an arts/nonprofit internship/practicum outreach program and provide arts/nonprofit career counseling for students.

The Division of Corporate Communication and Public Affairs: In addition to its notable MAMBA and MMIAM graduate programs, the Division houses two rigorous, selective undergraduate programs serving 120+ majors in the Meadows School of the Arts. In addition to the B.A. in Public Relations and Strategic Communication that focuses on external corporate affairs, the Division's B.A. in Corporate Communication and Public Affairs offers focus areas in organizational communication, political communication, social innovation and nonprofit engagement, arts management, and arts entrepreneurship as part of CCPA's mission to prepare students to take leadership roles in corporate, nonprofit, and governmental sectors. CCPA offers programs of study in London, Washington D.C., and Taos, NM; access to a 29-member Advisory Board of corporate communication and arts/nonprofit executives; and additional, compensated teaching opportunities in January, May, and summer terms. As CCPA expands its offerings, new graduate, professional, and executive education teaching opportunities will become available.
