The University of Leeds has an excellent opportunity for you to 'fast-track' your career in industry by leading a high-profile, strategically important project from start to completion. Through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), you will work in partnership with Invibio Ltd. to develop and validate a new 'industry-leading knee questionnaire' designed to collect clinical outcome data to significantly enhance outcomes for patients undergoing total knee replacement surgery (TKR) for the treatment of painful knee arthritis.
Invibio is a proven partner to medical device manufacturers and a leading provider of biomaterial solutions. In this instance the company has developed their revolutionary PEEK-OPTIMATM polymer to provide new, metal free knee implants with properties that more closely resemble natural bone. You will work in collaboration with Invibio and the University of Leeds knowledge base to develop a new industry 'gold-standard' knee questionnaire which will enable the assessment of both the implant functionality and patient acceptability (how the patient feels).
Working with the University of Leeds you will have gain first hand insight from expert research and clinical study knowledge and have access to world class facilities with cutting-edge equipment and insight from academics with vast experience in orthopaedic and clinical settings.
