OVERVIEW:

The Ethics and Business Law Department at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business invites applications for a full-time, clinical faculty position in the area of business ethics beginning in September 2022. Clinical appointments will be without tenure and are not tenure track appointments. Primary duties of the position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of business ethics, supporting student experiential learning activities, and engagement with and outreach to the business community around business ethics.

The Opus College of Business employs a mission-driven approach to management education and delivers a diverse portfolio of offerings including undergraduate, MBA, and specialized graduate business programs. The Ethics and Business Law Department consists of faculty members with a range of teaching and research expertise in a myriad of fields related to law, ethics and business responsibility who share a dedication to the College's mission and desire for a culture of collegiality. QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD or doctorate in business ethics or another closely related field (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent). Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and engaging in service to the Ethics and Business Law Department, the Opus College of Business and the University of St. Thomas. Applicants must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or eligible for legally required exemption such as a medical or religious reason.

Candidates should show strong promise to contribute to the intellectual and professional development of students and other stakeholders and to remain current in the field through professional practice, content creation, and engagement with the community. Doing so entails a commitment to the departmental goal to be a leading center for education and scholarly inquiry into contemporary issues of business ethics and compliance. The department's faculty members play an integral role in the College of Business and its mission to develop "effective, principled business leaders who think globally, act ethically and create enduring value for society."
