YOUR ROLE
  • The position is based in our new innovative hub - Inspiration Center Düsseldorf - and has primarily a regional focus on Europe but also plays an active role in the global and cross-regional activities
  • Product development of UV acrylic hotmelts and solvent-based acrylic adhesives in an international team
  • Scouting of new raw materials, patent landscaping, formulation, and process technologies
  • Responsibility for product maintenance
  • Optimization of the existing product portfolio through collaboration with the production, quality, supply chain, and procurement functions
  • Management and development of projects in cooperation with Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and Technical Customer Service including frequent presentation to global stakeholders

YOUR SKILLS
  • Master's degree in Chemistry required, PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • 6 years of relevant professional experience in product development and scale-up of acrylic-based adhesives for tapes, graphics, medical and transdermal markets
  • Knowledge of polymerization, stripping, and application technologies
  • Contacts to raw material producers and a broad knowledge of raw material classes that are used in the mentioned adhesives
  • Ability to characterize polymers and pressure-sensitive adhesives with chemical and physical methods
  • Fluent English language skills
