Laboratory Associate Micro Team @ Cannabis Lab

Job Summary: North Coast Testing Laboratories of Michigan (NCTLM) is a licensed safety compliance facility serving Michigans regulated marijuana market. NCTLM analyzes a growing volume of cannabis flower and cannabis products for licensed producers in the state. Our team is looking for a Laboratory Associate on the Micro Team to assist with sample preparation and other laboratory support according to approved laboratory methods.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Follow all internal laboratory SOPs and Michigan Regulatory Agency (MRA) regulations
• Work in a fast-paced production laboratory with high sample volume
• Work with inventory tracking software (METRC) and use NCTLMs Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to report results obtained from various analyses
• Work cooperatively in a team environment
• Daily routine includes sample preparation and laboratory support duties

Job Requirements - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency with electronic applications including MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Passion for science and/or the cannabis industry
• Experience working in a production lab, with demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures is preferred, but not required
• Bachelors Degree from a four-year accredited college or university in the chemical, environmental, or biological sciences is preferred, but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to sit and/or stand for 100% of an 8 hour day
• Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate computer and laboratory equipment
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
