The incumbent, in cooperation with postdocs and graduate students, will also perform the analysis of these animals (and primary cells) using routine techniques in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell culture. The Lab assistant will order supplies, enter data using standard computer software, and keep accurate and clear records of all experimental work. Compensation Range: Hourly: $18.47 - $19.86 Department Website: [ Required: Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and one year of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical, or social sciences; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.Ability to follow detailed written instructions.Ability to maintain organized lab notes.Knowledge of routine lab equipment (centrifuge, PCR machine, etc.).Ability to use computers.Knowledge of molecular biology/cell biology/mouse techniques and (e.g., centrifugation, cloning, pipetting, aseptic techniques, Luciferase assay; mouse dissection, isolate primary cells, etc.) Final candidate subject to background check.
