YOUR ROLE
  • Create Innovations for electric vehicles and enable progress in e-mobility; new concepts in battery design require high performance adhesives realizing fast charging & lightweight cars
  • Develop new adhesive products based on polyurethane and other chemistries
  • Provide technical leadership, steer knowledge sharing and support project teams in problem-solving
  • Lead one or multiple R&D projects with high criticality to business
  • Identify and engage valuable external partners
  • Design test series and lab formulations
  • Formulate new thermally conductive adhesives
  • Set up and implement new test methods, conduct characterization and specification testing of new development products
  • Scale-up and transfer lab formulation into serial production located at different manufacturing sites
  • Present about development projects for management, customers, and technical audiences
  • Act as responsible for new research, intellectual property, publications, technology roadmap

YOUR SKILLS
  • Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry, Material Science or Engineering
  • Ideally 6 years of work experience with good knowledge of polymer chemistry
  • Experience in polyurethane, epoxy or silane-modified polymer chemistry is appreciated
  • Work experience with adhesive product chemistry or related fields is beneficial
  • Strong ability for problem-solving
  • Ability to take the initiative and high degree of flexibility
  • Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate in a global and cross-functional team environment
  • Fluent English and good German language skills
