Successful candidates will be expected to develop an active research programme and lead and deliver inspiring teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The post-holders will be expected to make a positive contribution to our collegiate academic community and carry out some academic administration to contribute to the running of the school.

The post-holders will be expected to have published academic work of the highest quality and show the potential to secure external grant income to support their research. They will also be expected to make a positive contribution to the general research culture of the School and the wider University to maximise the impact of their research with external stakeholders and to conduct public engagement activities.

The successful applicants will be required to engage in teaching across all our undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. Teaching duties will include tutorials for undergraduate students, project supervision, and delivery of taught content and seminar sessions on individual units.

Administration and leadership
