Job Description: The Department of Art at the Marietta College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in Art Foundations. Responsibilities include teaching, mentoring students, contributing in collegial ways to build the department, and college service. * The candidate will teach beginning and advanced drawing courses, as well as a 2D/3D Foundational course that is required for all majors in the department. * Preference given to applicants with experience in teaching drawing with students using charcoal and for the introductory drawing class, Brian Curtis's Drawing from Observation for perceptual drawing * Experience working with majors and non-majors in a blended classroom environment is preferred. * The position has a 3/4 course load, totaling in seven (7) courses an academic year (Fall/Spring semesters). Each course is three (3) credits and is taught two days a week for 110 minutes on each day. The instructor will not have advising responsibilities, but will have department service responsibilities. The candidate will have voting rights within the faculty governance.
