Job Title Program Manager & Instructor for Off-Site Instructional Locations Agency Tarleton State University Department Academic Advising Proposed Minimum Salary $4,180.17 monthly Job Location Fort Worth, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Applications accepted only online at www.tarleton.edu Advises students on program and course selection, discusses career goals, and counsels students on challenges in completing the degree program. Participates in and supports preparation for all recruitment, orientation, and development events. Collects and communicates information pertinent to students from a variety of support/service offices. May teach one course each fall, spring, and summer term as needed for assigned academic department based upon academic credentials either at designated off-site instructional location or online.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work and teaching requirements indicate. Responsibilities: 65% Advisor: Plans and implements academic advising services at designated off-site instructional location. Maintains in depth knowledge of requirements for all undergraduate programs offered at designated off-site instructional location. Advises students on program and course selection, discusses career goals, counsels students on anticipating and solving challenges and difficulties that may arise while completing the degree program, files degree plans and other relevant forms required by the academic department and enrollment management, completes graduation check lists and maintains records. Communicates appropriate deadlines to students at designated off-site instructional location. (e.g., application, withdrawal/drop dates, graduation application). Communicates transfer requirements and other pertinent information to transfer students. 20% Teach: Teaches nine (9) SCHs each academic year as needed for assigned academic department based upon academic credentials either at designated off-site instructional location or online. Maintains appropriate schedule of office hours for student access and inquiry. Participates in institutional service roles. 10% Participates in and supports preparation for all recruitment, orientation, and development events at designated off-site instructional location. Performs other duties as assigned. 5% Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Master's degree in Business, Education, or Psychology; must be able to be credentialed to teach college courses in one of these disciplines. Four years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching college courses; Bilingual (Spanish/English). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. All positions are security-sensitive.
