Summary

We have an exciting opportunity with a strategic client who is looking for someone to lead the development and validation of quantitative, physical/solid-state, analytical methods in a cGMP environment. The qualified individual will contribute to the research strategies of the organization by developing novel analytical approaches for organic and inorganic materials characterization.

Duties / Expectations of Role
  • Subject matter expertise in solid-state analytical techniques and their application to quantitative, analytical methods.
  • Leadership of teams developing methods for quantitative analyses of solid mixtures.
  • Identification or creation of new experimental techniques to solve research problems, requiring constant familiarity with the scientific literature.
  • Creation and supervision of R&D projects to develop tools to solve industry problems, leading to future business for the company.
  • Conduct advanced research in order to develop innovative methods and/or techniques to attract future business.


Mandatory Requirements
  • Intimate knowledge of solid-state analytical techniques; diffraction, vibrational spectroscopy, thermal analysis, dynamic vapor sorption, etc.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize advanced statistical techniques.
  • Knowledge and application of safe laboratory procedures.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate effectively within applicable regulatory (cGMP) and company guidelines.
  • Ability to operate effectively as part of a team, either as leader or member.
  • A PhD
  • Significant experience in solid-state chemistry.
  • Recognized professionally as an expert in solid-state chemistry
  • Previous experience developing quantitative analytical methods under cGMP conditions
