**How will you make an impact?**
Provides work direction to and/or performs all duties of a Sr. Site Specialist, Site Specialist or Site Technician to assure customer satisfaction. Monitors workflow to optimize staffing and services for customer. Services may include the portfolio of services provided including order entry, order management, operating customer procurement systems, stockroom services, material handling, shipping/receiving, and chemical tracking. May also include lab-based tasks including media/reagent preparation and cell culture support operations. Acts as a liaison between customer, sales, suppliers, logistics and management using special system knowledge to ensure success of customer relationships.
**What will you do?**
+ Assists in organizing the staff and workload to meet or exceed productivity performance standards for UnityTM Lab Services. Provides functional support to team members by performing site coverage as needed. May assist in the cross training of associates and the training of new hires.
+ Perform planning and scheduling activities for teams to facilitate production across multiple functional areas, including but not limited to workload assignment, project planning, raw material forecasting/procurement, participation in customer meetings, and project support.
+ Responsible for document management activities including but not limited to technical writing of documents, archiving, scanning, record keeping, and other GXP and non-GXP administrative duties.
+ Maintain records to comply with regulatory requirements utilizing current Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
+ Perform tasks associated with right-the-first-time media and buffer preparation operations (e.g. small and large-scale media, calculations, aseptic technique, chemical inventory, pH titration, aliquots, sterile filtration, osmolality adjustment, use of standard laboratory equipment, troubleshooting, cell culture media, and GxP operations) while meeting customer due dates.
+ Assists with data collection, report generation and site metric development in support of contractual obligations and best practice methodologies.
+ Embraces PPI methodologies.
+ Performs daily duties of a Senior Site Specialist, Site Specialist or Site Technician.
+ Meets with customers proactively to help determine ongoing needs. Informs site employees of special customer requirements, resolves problems and keeps employees informed of corrective action.
+ Provides technical support to customer and specialists regarding special systems, products or procedures.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**How will you get here?**
+ Minimum qualification is a bachelor's degree (BS/BA) with an emphasis in a scientific discipline.
+ Experience in laboratory setting or services and experience in GLP/GMP environment preferred
+ Proven excellence in customer service skills.
+ Must possess a high level of communication skills to provide guidance to others in performing the work, to effectively present information and respond to questions or customer service requests and interact with various levels of the customer's organization.
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
+ May pass through areas where chemical-based allergens may be in use.
+ Ability to work with carcinogenic, mutagenic, and irritant classified chemicals
+ Must be able to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs.
+ May be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts and pallet jacks
+ Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets and/or safety gloves
