Aventiv Research is currently looking for a Clinical Research Assistant (RA) with a passion for clinical research to join our Vaccine Unit or Phase 1 Unit located at our main office. As a Research Assistant at Aventiv, you will be responsible for assisting and implementing clinical research under the direction of the Principal Investigator and the Clinical Research Coordinators in accordance to good clinical practice. Other responsibilities include:
  • Monitor clinical trials and document activities to ensure compliance of procedures and protocols.
  • Enter clinical research data into appropriate database and fields.
  • Prepare correspondence, documentation, or presentation materials on findings.
  • Review and understand multiple study protocols.
  • Collect, process, and ship laboratory samples according to the study laboratory manual.
  • Maintain supplies and exam rooms according to quality control processes.
  • Interview and schedule patients by phone and in person.
  • Prescreen subjects and determine if they meet the qualifications of the study.
  • Conduct spirometry, capillary and ECG tests, as well as obtain vital signs and basic medical information/history.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required in science, psychology or related field; or an additional 4 years relevant research experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience in research preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, required.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time, use hands and fingers in fine manipulation of office and medical equipment, use the telephone, talk and hear. The employee will reach, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 15 pounds.

Please note: Hours are generally Mon - Thurs, 7am - 5pm, with an alternating Friday schedule. The first Friday, 8am - 12pm, and then closed the following Friday. This position does require some flexibility dependent on certain trials.Aventiv offers a competitive and comprehensive benefit package.
