Job Description:
The Chemistry Department (sciences.ucf.edu/chemistry) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure earning lecturer position anticipated to begin August 2022.
In addition to contributing to teaching lecture and laboratory courses, the successful candidate is expected to participate in continuous curriculum improvement and provide service to the department, college, and university. The Chemistry Department at UCF values scholarly research in chemistry education and encourages lecturers to participate in this area of research.
UCF, located in Orlando, FL, is one of the nation's largest universities with over 70,000 students and is continuing to build internationally recognized programs in Chemistry and Forensic Science. The Chemistry Department offers ACS-approved B.S. degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Forensic Chemistry, and Forensic Biochemistry, M.S. in Forensic Science, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry.

Minimum Qualifications:
A doctorate in chemistry or a related field from an accredited institution by the time of hire, and two years of teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference is for candidates who have the capability of instructing upper level and graduate courses in Chemistry. Experience teaching organic chemistry courses and interest in teaching forensic science-focused classes is beneficial.
