Computer Skills Instructor (Grades 5-7), Computer Technology Instructor (Grade 8-12)
Teaching experience preferably in a formal school setting, bachelor's degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, a love of teaching and learning, and a desire to work in a faith-based atmosphere aligned with values taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong communication and classroom management skills, high energy, experience in preparing and delivering daily lesson plans, experience establishing and communicating clear learning objectives, using a variety of pedagogical methods, and willingness to learn. Candidates should be professional in appearance and demeanor. They should also be willing and able to uphold and serve as ambassadors for the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off-campus. Class instruction includes teaching keyboarding skills to students in grades 5-7 and teaching Microsoft Office to students in grades 6-12. It is for 10-15 hours per week.
