DEAN OF THE SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES

Touro College invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Health Sciences (SHS) effective July 1 2022. The Dean of the School of Health Sciences serves as the administrative leader of the School and is responsible for the successful planning, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs which promote the educational research and service missions and the community service activities of Touro College including its Judaic heritage. The School of Health Sciences offers programs in a number of related areas including Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Speech-Language Pathology, and Behavioral Science and will be offering a new Doctor of Psychology program in fall 2022. These programs are located on and offered through multiple Touro New York campuses including Long Island (Central Islip), Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Middletown and some new SHS programs are planned for the Touro College Illinois (TCIL) campus in Skokie IL. The School of Health Sciences partners with over 300 healthcare facilities throughout the New York area where students complete field work and clinical rotations. + Supervise accreditation efforts for each program within the School work to foster scholarship efforts by the faculty in the School and provide guidance to each program's curricular and assessment activities. + Prepare the budgetary proposals to assure adequate resources for fulfilling the mission of the School according to the principles of sound academic and administrative management. + Work to build innovative partnership opportunities across and among various entities and educational institutions to further the goals of the Touro College and University System working collaboratively with all of the other deans at Touro College as well as the senior academic leadership.
