The University of Illinois Cancer Center is seeking a Research Associate I. The Research Associate I will work with the Cancer Center Research Committees and Systems Manager to coordinate the Cancer Center Clinical Trials committees and the Clinical Trials Management System which supports the review activities of these committees.
Duties:
  • Coordinates committee meetings and documents committee decisions for the Protocol Review Committee (PRC) and Data Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC).
  • Supports implementation of new committee policies and procedures for both the PRC and DSMC.
  • Provides OnCore (Clinical Trials Management System) end user training.
  • Routinely runs OnCore reports to monitor outstanding data and report findings.
  • Supports productivity in scientific review by examining submissions for data discrepancies and omissions.
  • Manages Nimblify Site Benchmarks, resolving data omissions and errors and actively engages in enhancement proposals.
  • Devises and implements strategies for ensuring data is consistently aligned with UICC initiatives and end goals.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required.
  • Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Entry level knowledge of research methods.
  • Proficiency in working in web-based database systems and electronic data entry.
  • Experience with OnCore or similar CRMS database.
  • Skills in data management and querying (SQL).
  • Knowledge of clinical research trials operations
  • Knowledge of clinical trials regulatory and protocol development.
  • Proficiency with OnCore clinical trials management system Oracle database.
  • Basic knowledge of Jaspersoft Reporting software and Oracle database preferred.
