Essential Functions (Job Duties) Teach and mentor the next generation of Arts Leaders in the MFA Theatre Management and MA in Arts Administration programs and perform other duties as assigned by the Chair. Candidates are expected to maintain a significant level of research or professional creative activity consistent with progress toward promotion and tenure and utilize a proactive approach towards the recruitment and retention of students. The professor will work alongside the departmental faculty and staff to fulfill its professional training and educational mission, and will serve on university, college, and departmental committees. Unique Duties Qualifications MFA or PhD degree or advanced degree with professional experience; a record of professional activity in leadership in the arts and community building; ability to communicate effectively within an ethnically and culturally diverse community that is centered in an urban environment Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of college-level teaching experience and experience in a wide range of instructional delivery methods.
