The Carmofon Lab at NYU's Department of Biology is looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to work as a Junior Laboratory Associate or for more senior Laboratory Associate positions for candidate with demonstrable expertise.

In the Carmofon Lab we study how the environment in which tumors emerge, affect their development. Understanding how tumor cells integrate different external signals is necessary to predict and eventually control cancer progression. We are exploring how metabolic features of the tumor microenvironment, such as low pH and nutrient scarcity, interact with cell-to-cell communications to determine tumor growth. We use a suit of advanced approaches including in vitro and in vivo tumor modelling, live microscopy, image analysis, and microfabrication using 3D printing. You can learn more about us visiting our website: www.carmofon.org
