This individual will shape and implement the strategy of NLP and Text Analytics capabilities within Medical Affairs and beyond to create value for our stakeholders and patients You will act as a technical contributor for our NLP Capabilities team. You will collaborate with your in-house and off-shore team members to create high-value capabilities, insights, and reports. There are two primary value streams that this role contributes to: text analytics/reporting, and NLP capabilities. These represent our team's transformation from one of pure data analytics, to being the powerhouse within GSK for NLP and data science. In this role you will have one foot in each world and will guide our transformation by being a trusted expert in both domains. To support our Text Analytics needs, you will work with Voice of Customer, social media, and other data sources to uncover trends and insights alongside our Medical Insight Leads. You will showcase your storytelling, wisdom, and perception by creating compelling reports that get to the root of patient and health care provider needs. On the NLP Capabilities side, you will create foundational models which will enrich our unstructured text data. You will be guiding buy/build decisions and prioritization for creating high quality models in topic modeling, Named Entity Recognition/Resolution (NER), Aspect-based Sentiment Analysis, text summarization, and more. You will contribute not only to the development of the models, but to a best-in-class MLOps pipeline and deployment strategy. You will work with reporting and data engineering teams across the business to integrate model APIs. You will guide stakeholders and insight leads as they learn to use these tools in a self-guided way.
