The role
Bristol Renal, Bristol Medical School is looking for a Clinical Data manger to further establish, manage and maintain the NURTuRE kidney patient database and the associated UoB tranSMART open source knowledge platform and to prepare information, datasets and statistics required for NURTuRE and Translational Medicine research. As the post holder you will be expected to work at UK Renal Registry (UKRR) on NURTURE validation and dataset compilation for 1 day per week. If not physically at UKRR (based in North Bristol) they will need to work closely with UKRR team members to enable validation of data.
What will you be doing?
As the post holder you will establish the needs of users and monitor user access and security, monitor performance and parameters to enable a faster query response to the front end users. As this post holder you will also need to map out the conceptual design for the NURTuRE databases in conjunction with guidance and direction given by the NURTuRE team.
You should apply if
You have strong programming skills and proven knowledge of Linux environment, SQL, Python, R, Java and Javascript and experience in database development, administration and support in MS SQL Server environments.
