*Job Profile Summary*Under limited supervision, this position assists in the qualitative and quantitative research that aligns with the College's priorities. Duties include extracting data from internal and external sources, assisting with the designing and conducting of research studies, data validation, statistical analysis, and preparing reports and presentations for use within the College community. This position requires the review and processing of research protocols to ensure compliance with all pertinent regulatory bodies. Performs related duties as assigned. *Minimum Education:*

* Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree in social/behavioral science, statistics, economics, educational administration, or other research-oriented area strongly preferred .
*Minimum Experience/Training:*

* Two or more years of directly related experience, preferably at an institution of higher education. Experience writing research reports, conducting social science research, and performing statistical analysis using software such as SPSS, STATA, R and/or other statistical packages. Understanding of database technologies preferred.
*Essential Functions:*

* Daily -35%: Reviews protocols for compliance with human subjects' research ethical standards, conducts literature reviews, assists with the design of research projects, and identifies appropriate tools for data collection.
* Daily-35% Performs analysis, validates data, identifies trends, disseminates research findings and presents results to stakeholders. Drafts reports and research briefs, in support of the Institutional Research Department.
* Weekly -15: Assists in the maintenance of internal and external web resources including Broward Connect, the College webpage, and institutional research publications.
* Weekly- 10%: Participates in College initiatives and committees as needed. May require travel between campuses and other locations. Keeps abreast of latest trends in the industry.
* Other, as Needed -5%: Performs other related duties as assigned.
*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*

* Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision in the design of research studies, implementation, data analysis, and dissemination of research findings.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with members of the department and College community.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications, statistical software, and data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau).
* Ability to plan and manage own work flow and complete projects with rapidly changing priorities.
* Skilled with both quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
* Strong analytic skills.
* Proficient in research methodology.
* Ability to conduct data needs assessment and gathers specifications.
* Must be detail oriented, organized, resourceful, maintain efficient work habits, and have the ability to complete projects with rapidly changing priorities.
