We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the instructional programs in Nursing at Collin College. Create and manage budget for an academic division. Ensure compliance with college policies, THECB, SACSCOC, and programmatic accreditation agencies. Build relationships with community leaders both within and outside of the college to further the academic mission of the institution.

The compensation for this position will be commensurate with education and experience up to $135,000.

Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as district-wide liaison for Nursing programs (i.e. Licensed Vocational Nursing, Associate Degree Nursing and RN-to-BSN programs); provide instructional, curriculum and fiscal leadership in support of the district strategic plan; develop and assess academic student success initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Nursing division, including enrollment management and overall day-to-day operation of the division.
  • Represent Collin in the local community and promote partnerships with stakeholders that furthers the College's mission and vision.
  • Identify, develop and promote new programs and initiatives to address the needs of students and the College service area; pursue grants and fundraising opportunities, serving as a liaison with the Collin College Foundation.
  • Provide leadership for the evaluation and review of existing programs within the Division; establish goals and lead faculty and staff in accomplishing goals for continuous improvement that contributes to institutional effectiveness and student success.
  • Oversee the evaluation of faculty performance conducted by program Directors and make recommendations for faculty contracts, academic and teaching improvement and provide leadership for disciplinary action.
  • Supervise the hiring of and provide ongoing training, mentoring support, and performance feedback for Program Directors and division support staff.
  • As District Discipline Dean, coordinate district-wide class schedules for assigned disciplines in collaboration with other deans.
  • Manage assigned support services and related facilities.
  • Remain knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with college policies and procedures, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board rules and regulations, SACS Commission on Colleges Principles of Accreditation in areas of responsibility, and other external program accreditation requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with student and administrative services personnel to promote student success.
  • Engage in professional development relevant to the performance of the essential duties of the position.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Requirements
Earned doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution required. If doctorate is not in Nursing, then a Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution is also required.
Seven (7) years of higher education administration and teaching experience in nursing instructional programs, to include two (2) years full-time teaching experience (or equivalent) and at least two (2) years of administrative-level experience is required. Two (2) years of supervisory experience required.

Licenses and Certifications
Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas required.
