Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (WOT) - Endocrine Surgeon
The Division of General Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time endocrine surgeon at the rank of Assistant Professor without tenure by reason of funding (WOT), Associate Professor (WOT), or Professor (WOT). This position will have an annual service period of twelve month (July 1 - June 30). Title, salary and rank is commensurate with applicant's training, qualifications, and experience, with an expected start date in Summer 2022.
Job Description
This position will be primarily based at UW Medical Center Montlake and Northwest campuses and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and will provide a spectrum of endocrine surgery services. UW Medicine surgeons are expected to develop an area of scholarly expertise, as expected of every faculty member, in consultation with the Division and Section Chief. The University of Washington Medical Center is a nationally recognized academic medical center offering outstanding specialty and primary care. UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
Qualifications and Education
The successful candidate must have an MD (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified or board eligible (or foreign equivalent) in surgery. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
