Nursing Adjunct Faculty/Clinical Nursing Faculty

Pierpont Community & Technical College is currently seeking qualified individuals to provide clinical supervision and evaluation of student performance in a hospital setting (United Hospital Center). The adjunct faculty member would need to work two 12-hour days on Saturday and Sunday, alternating weekends with other adjuncts.

Examples Of DutiesTypical duties of adjunct instructors include but aren't limited to: Teach community & technical college students in a clinical environment.Review/refine a class syllabus to include instructor-specific contact information and course policies and ensuring that the syllabus meets department and college standardsEvaluate and assess students' clinical performance in the clinical setting.Collaborate with colleagues on the course curriculumAdvise students on how to be successful in classStay updated on innovations and changes within their course fieldRecord class attendance and submit (if needed) to program coordinatorMeet assigned classes as scheduled and follow school policies on absencesUtilize assigned institutional email address and systems. Email is the OFFICIAL form of communicationMeet established deadlines for submission of student grades in ROARParticipate in course evaluation processMeet/follow course outcomes, use required course components as determined by the school, use assessments, and provide assessment data to program coordinatorUtilize Blackboard for syllabus and grade book (training is provided as needed)Follow Academic/Registrar CalendarComply with adjunct contract

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferably a Master's degreeHold a current license as a registered professional nurse in the state of WVHave experience as a registered professional nurse within the three years immediately preceding employment as a faculty member.
